Co-working, community and cultural spaces

The nature of the modern workplace and what employees and occupiers expect from their place of work has changed. The expectations around what amenities and opportunities local communities want and need was already changing before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic but has now been accelerated.

Our proposals at Boundary House will provide high-quality, flexible commercial floorspace at part ground and first floor levels. This will be a ‘multi-modal’ space that combines co-working space and events with a curated offer that will create a real destination for the area.

The co-working space will be available for booking by both hotel residents and the general public and will allow businesses and their employees to share ideas, to collaborate and to innovate.

The smaller more sustainable floorplates in Boundary House will cater for a different type of business. They will see a move away from the typical corporate city spaces,  reflecting post pandemic needs and the emerging cultural and creative industries in the area, acting as a catalyst to diversify the occupier base in the City.

Our approach is to create a flexible and meaningful new community and commercial hub at the heart of the local community. We have considered a range of potential uses for the space including:

  • Podcast studios
  • Meeting rooms and breakout lounges
  • Co-working lounges
  • Event and gallery spaces for product launches, art shows or theatre productions
  • Small conference and breakout spaces
  • Studio spaces for filming, yoga and photography
